Import of packaging wood via unregistered company
It happens that an unregistered (foreign) company (e.g., an agency) sells timber to a registered company in the Netherlands from another ISPM 15-recognized country. For example, an agent in Latvia sells timber for a Ukrainian sawmill to a Dutch participant.
The timber or timber products must then comply with ISPM 15 requirements by submitting the original invoice from the registered supplier (the Ukrainian sawmill, which can be checked on the country website for the relevant country).
It is not sufficient for the selling intermediary to declare that the sawmill complies with ISPM 15, or to include proof of recognition (affiliation) from the government. If the country of origin has implemented ISPM 15, it is also not permitted to supply timber with only an accompanying Phytosanitary Certificate. This must still be stated on the invoice.
